Taiwan China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) held a well-attended press conference on October 15th at the Hyatt Regency Guam Resort to promote their Body science & Metabolic disorders International (BMI) Medical Center and Spine Center, and to encourage Guam patients to consider their facility for care.

Two healthy and thriving patients from Guam shared the experiences they had while in the capable and professional hands of the doctors and staff of the first-class China Medical University Hospital. They were on hand to praise the medical facility for the treatment and care they received. They both expressed their gratitude and thanks to the hospital doctors and shared their personal stories about their journey to Taiwan for their medical treatments.

Mr. Joseph Lujan expressed his approval and gratitude through a personal testimonial and recommendation to other Guamanians looking for top quality healthcare in specialized areas, encouraging them to look at CMUH for their personal medical journeys. Mr. Lujan has lost  over 235lbs and has a new lease on life thanks to the bariatric surgery and care he received  from Dr. Chih-Kun Huang, the superintendent of the BMI Medical Center.

Mr. Ted Nelson's mobility had been impacted for years and he was forced to use a cane. Since his treatment and care at CMUH Spine Center, he has experienced marked improvements in his strength and mobility, to the point that he no longer needs the cane for assistance. He thanked the hospital for treating him so well and was grateful for the level of care and professionalism he received with the directives and treatment from Dr. Hsien-Te Chen, the director of the Spine Center.

Dr. Chih-Kun Huang and Dr.  Hsien-Te  Chen were present at the conference  and spoke on the services and benefits that the Taiwan hospital provides patients. The two doctors also highlighted the distinguishing features of their respective specialty centers for insurance companies and doctors to consider for patient referrals. Dr. Huang spoke about bariatric and metabolic surgery and the success of the BMI Medical Center with international patients since its induction in 2016. Dr. Chen discussed the Spine Center and its specialized care and successful neuro-navigation surgeries. An additional doctor from the Spine Center, Dr. Chien-Chun Chang, discussed other specialized treatments offered at the Spine Center, emphasizing minimally invasive and endoscopic surgeries, including joint replacement and knee and hip arthroplasty. The Taiwan delegation spent time visiting and consulting with a few local doctors and appeared on morning talk radio shows the day before the conference. The group was also interviewed for local television news broadcasts and newspaper articles.
