1.  Recipient site needs to have sufficient blood supply.
2.  The graft should a complete contact surface with the recipient site.
3.  The skin graft should be under immobilization.
4.  There should be free of infection.

1. In order to perform the skin graft successfully, we should keep a healthy body. If there exist anemia, weakness, or hypoalbuminemia, we should control these underlying disease and before performing the skin graft.
2. If there is any ulceration or skin infection, we should check the group of this pathogen, and we can apply some antibiotics or other disinfectant on the wound area.
3. Skin preparation:

(1) The donor site should be shaved expanded.

(2) The donor site should be cleaned with suds, water, or other disinfectant which is less irritable.

1. As completion of operation, most of patients will feel severe painful because operation made nerve ending expose. Generally, donor site will ache more severe than recipient site. Patient will feel very painful once touching. Protecting apparatus should be used to diminish the compression of donor site if necessary.
2. Recipient site should be elevated to prevent accumulation of exudates which could lead to edema or infection.
3. Sleeping toward healthy side of body and preventing toward lesion side will avoid influence of circulation. Doctor will wear gypsum on the lesion side of extremities postoperatively to prevent over-traction of lesion side. The gypsum should be placed about one week.
4. High protein and vitamin diet combined with adequate amount of water are suggested
